Stupa Incense is a socially and environmentally conscious cottage industry. We have been manufacturing handmade incense since last two decades. Being based in the foothill of the Nagarjung forest in the Kathmandu valley, we are always inspired by our surroundings, traditions and nature.

Himalayas, from where we come from, burning incense is an important part of our culture. We use it from day to day rituals to relaxation whether it is in temples, monasteries or at home.

Burning incense is more than just for aroma, it is a lifestyle, and it is for ones mental and spiritual well being.

Most of our ingredients are locally sourced, from herbs to handmade papers for packaging. Our incense are natural, non toxic and non-additive forming.

Aria:

During my journey through Asia, I was particularly impressed by the incense culture in Nepal. Accompanied by beautiful scenery, different types of incense create different atmospheres. The traditional incense-making techniques passed down through generations by the locals have gradually spread beyond Nepal and gained recognition worldwide. People can reach deeper levels of experience in many situations with the help of incense, especially those who love meditation or yoga.

I brought back one of the most famous incense sticks, Stupa, to 9$hop, hoping to bring you a more atmospheric, more textured, and more peaceful life!

Smells:

• HIMALAYAN CEDAR

Ingredients--Himalayan cedar, juniper berries, lemongrass, and other herbs. Dry woody notes, natural woody character.

• CITRONELLA

Ingredients--Citronella and other herbs. Fresh citrus notes.

• SANDALWOOD 

Ingredients--Sandalwood, Himalayan cedar, holy basil, cardamom, jasmine, nutmeg, and other herbs.Dry woody notes

• NA SWA

Ingredients--Sweetwood, Cedarwood, Palo Santo, Nutmeg, Indian Myrrh, Himalayan Pencil Cedar, Saffron, and other unique fragrances, with a slightly spicy note in the dry woody scent.

• MYRRH

Ingredients: Myrrh resin and herbs
Warm and rich, with a sweet and spicy aroma, mysterious and sensual.

• NAGCHAMPA

Ingredients: Ylang-ylang, frangipani, sandalwood, and other spices
Mildly sweet and fragrant, with an exotic scent.

• DORJEE

Ingredients: Clove, cinnamon, valerian, and over ten other spices
Rich and fragrant, relaxing and soothing.

• Austha Suganda

Ingredients: Saffron, valerian, licorice, and other herbs
A subtle blend of aromas that intertwine to create a wonderful scent.

• Devdar

Main Ingredient: Cedar
Fragrance Profile: Fresh and calming wood notes
Devdar, in Sanskrit, means "God's wood," also known as divine wood. It is made from cedar from the Himalayan region, offering fresh wood notes that are deep and calming, bringing the essence of forest nature.
